  • Who can stay CX?

  • Our rooms are for students, young professionals, researchers, teachers and similar figures.

  • I am 99, can I stay at CX?

  • Of course! As long as you’re not underage, all ages are welcome!

  • I am a honor student. Can I receive any concession?

  • Definitely. Each year, there are a number of scholarships made available by INPS (the Italian social security agency) to children of state employees, and they can contribute to the payment of your accommodation based on family income. Then there are other scholarships provided by the ADSU (Student Rights Associations) and by universities affiliated with CX.

  • How do I get there?

  • All our structures are very easy to reach and in very convenient areas. Check the page of your CX, scrool down and you'll find the info you need.

  • Can I choose my roommate?

  • We tend to assign shared rooms to homogeneous groups (by gender, enrollment in the same faculty, age, contract duration). As for double rooms, everyone can choose their "roommate".

  • Can i bring my guinea pig?

  • CX Florence and CX Chieti are pet friendly, contact us for more information.

  • Is there a minimum period of stay?

  • Normally, for arrivals in September, October and November, the minimum stay is 6 months, while for the rest of the year it is based on room availability. For short stays we recommend that you contact the desired CX facility and check availability.

  • Is there a daily cleaning service?

  • There is no daily room cleaning service. We offer a housekeeping service for a fee upon request.

  • How can I book a room?

  • You can fill out the form on our website and you will be contacted as soon as possible by a CXer. Or just send us an email with your date of arrival, date of departure, ID document, fiscal code if you have one, type of room required and letter of invitation from the university. After entering your booking request, you will be asked for a € 250.00 deposit by bank transfer or credit card. Once payment is received, CX will send you the actual booking confirmation.

  • What are the contract cancellation conditions?

  • The € 250.00 deposit is non refundable. If you cancel the reservation within 15 days before the date of arrival, the deposit is lost. For cancellations after 15 days or in case of no show, the first month's rent will be retained on top of the deposit, as a cancellation fee.

  • What are the contract withdrawal conditions?

  • You can withdraw from the contract with written notice to be sent by registered letter to CX within the notice period specified in the contract. In case of withdrawal, a penalty for early withdrawal must be paid to CX. The amount of the penalty is based on the duration of the contract. In addition, the registration tax for the termination of the contract must be reimbursed to CX. If the above notice period is not respected, the Accommodation Fee must be paid to CX - as per contract.

  • Can I change room during my stay?

  • Yes, depending on availability and except for the months of September, October and November.

  • Can I sublet my room?

  • CX doesn’t allow subletting.

  • Do I have a right of first refusal on my room?

  • In case of renewal, CX offers an advantageous rate and the possibility of staying in the same room

  • Can I see the room before signing a contract?

  • Yes, you can visit both the structure and the room by appointment (also with virtual tour). We always have sample rooms available. The room number is assigned at check-in.

  • How can I pay?

  • Since October 1st 2020 CX is cashless. For all payments you have the following options: Pagonline website, recurring bank transfer, credit card.

  • Which credit cards do you take?

  • We accept all cards,  American Express only at CXRome, CXTurin Regina and CXTurin Belfiore.

  • How do I pay my monthly rent?

  • The monthly payments can be made by bank transfer, Pagonline website or credit card and must be made by the 5th of the current month.

  • Do I have to pay the tourist tax?

  • No, you don’t have to pay the tourist tax at CX.

  • At what time can I check in?

  • You can check in from 2 pm.

  • If I get there early, can I request an early check in?

  • Yes, if the room is free and has been cleaned, no problem.

  • Which documents do I need to bring with me?

  • You will have to bring your ID, fiscal code, university documentation and the result of the serological or swab test carried out within 72 hours prior to your arrival regardless of the city / region / country of origin.

  • Can I briefly park my car to take out my luggage?

  • Yes we have private parking available.

  • What if I arrive after check in closing time?

  • Security staff is available 24 hours a day and will provide you with the room key. The next morning you will have to go to the reception to check in immediately.

  • Which documents do I need to sign at check in?

  • Upon check in you will need to sign the following documents: contract, rules and regulations, general conditions, privacy statement, as well as providing an emergency contact.

  • What payments do I need to make at check in?

  • The following payments will be required upon check in: current monthly rent, security deposit, prepayment of electricity, final cleaning.

  • How do I check out?

  • To carry out the check out procedure you first have to pre-check out on our website.

  • At what time is check out?

  • You need to check out by 10 AM on your last day.

  • Can I check out after regular check out time?

  • Depending on availability. 

  • Can I have a friend stay overnight in my room?

  • It depends on the type of room. Guests staying at CX have three free nights per month for one person of their choice, as long as they stay in the same accommodation. In addition to free nights, guests can stay for another four nights upon payment of a supplement. As for double rooms, CX residents must authorize the Front Office of their facility to accept the guest. Please remember to register your guest on the CX-PLACE app.

  • What are the common areas at CX?

  • How do I reach the campus?

  • What are the opening and closing times?

  • There are no time restrictions for CX residents: each guest will receive a personal card that opens the turnstiles, gates and apartment doors and is free to enter and exit the facility at any time.

  • Can I bring my own furniture and electronics?

  • If you tell our reception staff in advance, you can bring with you CE certified appliances and small furnishing accessories that do not involve a substantial change in the layout of the spaces.

  • Are linens and towels provided?

  • Rented apartments are not equipped with sheets, towels, blankets and pillows.

  • Are there any kitchen utensils in the room?

  • Rented apartments are not equipped with kitchen utensils. A basic kit can be picked up at the Reception by paying a supplement.

  • Is there security at the facilities?

  • Yes, all our facilities have 24-hour security.

  • Are there any fire alarms and fire control systems?

  • Yes, our facilities are equipped with fire detection systems and fire extinguishers. Evacuation drills are periodically carried out in compliance with regulations. Evacuation plans are available inside each accommodation and in the common areas.

  • What kind of anti-COVID plans have you implemented?

  • The safety and health of our guests is of primary importance. Temperature measurement, mandatory use of PPE in common areas, creation of special "safe zones" in all common areas with dispensers for sanitizing hands / surfaces, CX staff making sure that everybody complies with social distancing: these are just some of the measures our facilities have adopted.   • Do I need to wear a mask inside CX?

  • Yes, we ask everyone to use PPE in common areas and to always respect social distancing.

  • How is access to common areas managed?

  • All common areas are sanitized daily and are equipped with dispensers for the sanitization of hands and surfaces; we also affixed signs stating the maximum capacity of each area, in compliance with the current regulations.

  • What do I have to do if I have COVID-related symptoms?

  • Contact your GP and emergency numbers immediately, self-isolate and follow their advice. Please notify the reception staff who can provide you with any kind of support if you are unable to leave your apartment.

  • How is staff access to my room managed?

  • Our staff is authorized to enter only for extraordinary / ordinary maintenance or for scheduled checks and cleaning. In any case, you will always receive a communication from us and all staff have to wear PPE and respect social distancing.

  • How can I communicate the result of the serological or swab test to CX?

  • You can communicate the result by sending an e-mail to hello.rome / hello.florence / hello.turinregina / hello.turinbelfiore / hello.bari / hello.chieti@cx-place.com mentioning name and surname, date and result of the test (positive or negative) and date of return to the campus. If the test turned out negative, upon the student's return we will proceed with temperature measurement and discharge signature at the entrance as per standard procedure. If tested positive, the guest will be contacted by our team.

  • Do I need the Green Pass to access the campus?

  • Yes, at the time of entry/return at all CXs you will need to have your Green Pass with you, which will also be required to access University courses in the Athenaeum and in-person classes. This must be shown at the entrance and then your body temperature will be measured.

    Please remember to email us the day and time of your arrival on campus.

  • In which cases can I get the Green Pass?

  • You can get the Green Pass in these cases:

    • You have done double vaccination (the pass will be valid for 9 months)
    • You have done 1 vaccination
    • You have done a rapid swab performed at most 48 hours before your arrival
    • You have a certificate of recovery from Covid-19

  • Do guests need to have the Green Pass?

  • Please note that you will be able to receive a maximum of 1 guest registered on the CX-PLACE app. Each guest will sign a liability release and have their body temperature taken, regardless of whether they have completed their vaccination cycle and obtained a Green Pass.
    Study groups and access to study rooms will not be available for outsiders.

  • Are there any events or activities planned for guests?

  • Of course! CX regularly organizes many events for the community, such as parties, outings and activities aimed at promoting socialization and entertainment of all guests

  • I am a company / organization interested in collaborating with the CX community, can we talk about possible partnerships with CX?

  • Are those activities free or do I have to pay extra?

  • There is nothing to pay! Participation in community activities is completely free for CX guests

  • Who can stay at CX?

  • Cool travellers, young professionals, curious tourists, our doors are open to explorers from all over the world!

  • At what time are check-in and check-out?

  • You can check-in from 14:00 and check-out before 11:00.

  • I can't wait to get to CX! Is it possible to check in before 2pm?

  • We're excited about it too! We can't guarantee the availability of your room before 2:00 pm but we will do our best, don't worry.
    In any case, if your room isn't ready when you arrive, you can leave your luggage at the reception desk and set off to discover the city with ease!

  • I like to take it easy...can I make a late check-out?

  • Yes, it is possible to make a late check-out subject to availability. The cost is € 25, to be paid at the time of check-out.

  • Is there a parking?

  • Are bed linens and towels provided?

  • Sure thing! Bed linen and towels are provided in all hotel rooms.

  • Cancellation Policy

  • This depends on the rate plan you choose.
    - For hotel stays with a flexible rate, you can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before check-in.
    - In you have booked with a non-refundable rate instead, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
    - Lastly, if you have booked through online travel agencies (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, etc.), you can contact their booking office directly.

  • Is breakfast included?

  • It depends on the rate plan chosen but don't worry, if this is not included you can still add it later. The cost varies according to each CX.

  • Is there a bar in the building?

  • All CX have a nice bar where you can have a snack, grab a coffe or enjoy an aperitivo.
    And that's not all: in some CX there is also a restaurant for the joy of all foodies!

  • I am a company/entity interested in staying at one of your hotels, is there the possibility to enter into an agreement with CX?

  • Do you accept animals? 

  • Yes, your four-legged friend is welcome! We will provide you a mat and two small bowls in your room. A little extra fee may be required.
